Background

Hanover Harmony was formed in January, 2017 with a charter group of 7 members, and has quickly grown to over 30 faithful participants. We are a community choir in the Ashland/Hanover, VA area, a Christian faith-based group, with representatives from many churches. We are a diverse group of individuals from all walks of life, joined by a love of God and country. We have a strong appreciation for the joy of choral singing and desire to share it with the community. Our music selections are primarily sacred anthems and hymn arrangements, along with patriotic songs and other selected secular pieces.

Goal

The goals of the group include sharing our faith through music and providing musical experiences that will uplift, enrich, inspire, entertain and educate the audience and members. We try to perform at least once per month at an area church or community event, and also present public concerts several times each year.

Rehearsals

We meet on Sunday evenings for our weekly practices, which are an uplifting time of faith, fellowship and musical learning. Many of our members consider our Sunday night time together one of the highlights of their week. The start time is 4:30 PM with rehearsals lasting 90 minutes. The location is the Hanover Arts and Activities Center, 500 S. Center St., Ashland, VA. Regular attendance for rehearsals is expected.
